Initially schooled in architecture, Michael Sell graduated from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles in 1978. He then moved to New York City and found work as an independent illustrator and designer. Years later, his remove to a rural setting sparked the beginning of a phase of more personal drawings that has evolved to this day. His work has been shown in Los Angeles, Houston, and, in New York, with Jason McCoy Inc. and at the Rizzoli Gallery. He is represented in both private and corporate collections around the United States and in Europe.
